Christ Church – Population 53,000
With an area of 60sq kilometers and located between St. Michael and St. Philip, this is the island’s most southern parish. Christ Church is primarily a residential area but also features lush agricultural land and a vibrant fishing community.
The parish boasts many white sandy beaches and a picturesque coastline. One popular beach is Silver Sands which attracts windsurfers and Kite Surfers from around the world. For those who enjoy water sports Dover beach is the place to be.
This parish is home to the “Strip”, the centre of nightlife on the south coast well known for its restaurants, bars and clubs featuring live bands and DJs as well as cultural entertainment..
Oistins one of the four towns of Barbados is also located in Christ Church and is considered the island’s major fishing port as well as a popular nighttime venue.
